The black-and-white edition Disney x JLed figures have released!! They are now available at WonderGround Gallery (Downtown Disney), Disneyana (Disneyland), and Off The Page (Disney California Adventure) in-person only – they are not available online. This special edition is limited to 1000 of each character.

This collaboration is truly a dream project for me, I grew up a big fan of Walt Disney, every animated feature and of course all the classic shorts starring Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto (Goofy was always my favorite). As a kid who loved to draw I dreamed of one day becoming a Disney animator. Although I followed a different path, I find myself extremely grateful, privileged and lucky to be collaborating directly with Disney Parks on their Sensational Six characters as designer toys. Working with the most iconic characters of all time has its thrills and challenges, but I’m pleased to say I could not be more proud of our final result, thanks to the incredible team at Disney, including the talents of sculptors Damian Szeibert and freelancer Dave Bondi (I’ve been working with Dave for over 18 years).

This is the Disneyland Resort debut of a limited-edition, black-and-white vinyl collection by artist Joe Ledbetter. Joe captures the unique personality of each character in the collection of 6 figures—featuring Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, Daisy and Goofy. (Figures stand between 4 – 6 inches tall approximately, and should retail around $40 each. Each figure is a limited edition of 1000. A 16×20″ archival print on stretched canvas titled “Before” will also be available at WonderGround Gallery).
